Topic: Today all America saw the body-cam footage of a thirteen year-old Chicagoan named Adam Toledo being shot and killed by a Chicago police officer after Toledo had complied with an order to put his hands up. In this third episode of the “Adventures in Metajournalism” podcast, I react to this tragic video as a former criminal investigator, former criminal defense attorney, and current member of both state and federal bars.
Adventures in Metajournalism: Episode 3
Powerful and moving lecture. Will open many minds.
Excellent analysis, Seth. To add another layer to the Adam Toledo case, have you seen this one (10-23-2020)? A Chicago cop guns down and kills Marc Navarez as Marc is running away from him (gun in hand). He made no move to shoot, just running away, and was shot in the back. This was in Little Village too, the same neighborhood as Adam Toledo.
