THIS is beyond detestable, beyond immorality and illegality, beyond any

notion of justice or the democratic

country we thought we were — until

Trump became our president. He must

go, we must be freed of this psychotic freak who makes Hitler seem rational.

Key phrase is - we thought we were. I'm only speaking for myself, but I had no clue as to the absolute rot in this country that I used to be so proud of. Millions of people voted for Trump twice. We're not talking about a small fringe group. It's about 50% of the people that voted. He's the icing on the cake, he's not the cake. I don't look at MAGA voters the same anymore. It used to be if you voted opposite of the way I did, it was just a different opinion, not an integrity/moral issue. Now I feel it is. Trump has made it quite clear who he is. Knowing that, if you voted for him a second time, what does that say about you? First thing I think of is racist. Not always black/white. You want America to stay white. You want an autocratic government - someone in power to make the decision for you and appear STRONG. You think a woman's place is in the home or worse yet, you just don't like women (this applies to both genders). It's not about the price of eggs, it's not the immigrants (how many people can honestly say that an immigrant has negatively affected their own life)? I'd be willing to bet that negative experiences with others has happened much more often with American citizens. People should not be here illegally. Shame on America that it has allowed this to go on for so long and not halfway fixed the problem. But you handle it with humane treatment of others. I truly wonder if Garcia is alive anymore. I think that may be why nothing's been done to get him home. No outrage from MAGA that brown people are disappearing. But not everyone who's white, looks white. Wait until some MAGAs are picked up and never seen again.

Bless you, Deborah. You do NOT speak only for yourself but, inadvertently or not, you speak for millions, giving us

hope that we will prevail over this loath- some, hate-driven, destructive buffoon.

Invading Poland does seem more rational than crashing the stock market.

Thank you for shining the light on the atrocities committed by the Trump regime. He’s a dark triad personality as referenced in another post and needs to be removed from office before he hurts everyone. No US citizen is safe with this sicko at the helm who has the nuclear codes. It’s important the the GOP senators understand that it’s not safe having a maniac running the country.

Over 88,000,000 eligible voters did not vote. 47 did not get half of all eligible votes. The vast majority of eligible voters did not vote for #47. He did not achieve a mandate and has never, is not, and never will be a popular president.

I will place a link to this article in sites that have broader exposure (Ron Filupkowski, Meidas Touch, Mark Elias, Heather Cox Richardson, Brian Taylor Coen ) in the hope that they will read this, pass it on to viewers and offer to interview you. The extremity of the current legal / political instability requires informing as many people as possible. Thank you for your work even though (or because) it clearly presents a dire moment.

The Trump administration reminds me of lynch mobs. They're dead sure they have the right guys. Often times they do. Sometimes they do not. Lynch mobs came well before due process in human history; due process is the antidote to the lynch mob..

I feel terrible for Abrego Garcia and others sent to CECOT who have not committed any crimes (other than entering the US illegally). This is what happens when someone with a Dark Triad personality disorder becomes the leader of a country, especially when he has the support of 40+% of the voters, in spite of being a convicted felon. Our only hope may be that Trump will ruin our economy, and crash the stock market, before he gains complete control of the military, and that some Republican members of Congress and conservative justices find the courage to defend the rule of law and defy him. Those Americans who oppose him will need to come together for massive protests before (and after) he invokes the Insurrection Act.

Bloody hell Seth... everyone I know exists... do they need to have procedures that will leave them sterile? Not most of em... but those that might should be cared about... not turned into a sligan and a cause to make you feel better. Do you hand out womanhoods to all who need "a-curing"?

Putin loves your all in, no room for nuance gaslighting approach, by the way, to voters who are dumbfounded by your lack deliberation of the implications of your sloganeering. Huh, they are just denying people exist! Yeah... sure they are.. that'll learn them.. and put them out of reach. Just like Trump wants it.

I'm not assuming they are chosen at all.

And they may not be what is diagnosed initially either... particularly in adolescence.

The cure? I like that... the cure is sterilisation and molecule rearrangement.. why should society care about that?

Courts across the country should start appointing volunteer special advocates for those facing deportation who can go to scene of ICE action and make record of what is transpiring, then perhaps the hearing process prior to deportation will have balance.

Here is just one reason I rely on these reports, essays, briefings, analysis; most people and most media sources do not take Tramp or any of the despots seriously or take their messaging as position or future action. Throughout the time of Tramp riding down the escalator there has been a massive and coordinated (whether intentionally or unintentionally) need to suggest it is all talk, just spouting off. Somehow everything is sublimation of what is said and done. Next thing you know, one of the administration done does it, and next comes shock and endless articles, reality checking of what just happened and at the same time still questioning how can he get away with it, will he get away with it? Which then sets the stage for denial, obfuscation, catch phrases and finally court cases who then again seem to, through their decisions, sublimate the effects of the actions. It is difficult and unsettling to read where this is all going. It creates a great deal of anxiety for me. This anxiety is though easier to accept than the anxiety of living in a society that is watching everything burn down and the resultant human response of too overwrought to do anything about it.

Seth... as long as you obtusely claim that the concerns of society regarding trans are just down to a refusal regarding their obvious " right to exist" you will always be rowing against the current... or species.

What could be more fundamental in a society built around the clash between male and female than physical alteration to assume the position of the physically weaker and more abused... and in that process be sterilised and mutilated.

You had better recognise the implications that others do... and devise a process that reassures and gives society ( which also exists !) confidence.

You don't need to rearrange molecules when you're gay.

You need to reassure a third of the electorate who are unconvinced by your leftwing libertarianism.... and stayed home.
