I always thought it telling Trump wasn’t locked down with the Congress under attack. That is SOP and stinks to high heaven he was roaming around sharing his enthusiasm for what he was seeing...people “standing up for him."

As scary as this reads, I still have to thank you Seth for getting all of this information together. There would be far less legitimate discourse about this criminal enterprise without you connecting the dots.

If President Trump had plans to possibly assassinate Vice President Pence for not rejecting the electoral votes certification, in order to have Senate pro tempore Chuck Grassley take his place to reject the certification – which is evidenced by Trump's "Attorney" Lin Wood's Jan. 06 Parler message to shoot VP Mike Pence – then the Secret Service team around Trump was aware of a plot to kill the Secret Service team around Pence. That means the whole organization is internally corrupted. If Sen. Grassley also refused to reject the certification, they would assassinate him and House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi, thereby allowing Secretary of State Mike Pompeo (former CIA Director) to become acting V.P. while Trump declared martial law. This plan is evidenced by Pompeo's Nov. 10 comment: "There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration." This plan is evidenced by Trump's Dec. 10 comment: "This is going to escalate dramatically. This is a very dangerous moment in our history. A coup is taking place in front of our eyes." This plan is evidenced by Steve Bannon, hired as Trump's White House Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor to the President, who on Jan. 05 said, "All hell is going to break loose tomorrow. It's gonna be moving. It's gonna be quick." This plan is evidenced by Sen. Chuck Grassley saying on Jan. 05 that he would preside over the electoral votes certification process the next day, instead of V.P. Mike Pence, because: "We don't expect him to be there." This plan is evidenced by Rep. Lauren Boebert on Jan. 06 sharing updates of Nancy Pelosi's location, after being told by House security to avoid that because the Capitol had already been breached. This plan is evidenced by Donald Trump on Jan. 06 calling Sen. Mike Lee to ask Sen. Tommy Tuberville about V.P. Mike Pence's location, then Trump immediately posting a rage-tweet directing the mob's anger at Pence, while Trump's "Attorney" Lin Wood did the same on Parler.

I honestly believe it was a feint on trump's and pence's part (violence against pence); there was no way in hell the SS would allow pence to be taken under their watch. It was a ploy to make it appear pence was in danger. From the pov of the insurrectionists - yes, they may have wanted to do pence bodily harm, but no doubt the SS would never allow it to happen (think babbit). And to top it off, pence never spoke out against trump or the insurrectionists wanting to do him harm. It all seems a bit odd that pence wouldn't express any concerns at all about the entire incident where his life and that of his family's would be threatened.

However, the SEcret Service did want to take Pence in car to a different secure location and Pence said NO…. He knew they (the SS? maybe?)wouldn’t bring him back when he needed to be back to gavel in the peaceful (ha) transfer of power…. That supports the theory.

I noticed that members of Pence's security detail had slung on their shoulders long carrying bags, as they ran down the stairs, presumably containing automatic weapons.

There would have been rivers of blood flowing down the Capitol halls.

Good points about Pence. Goods points about all of them.

We don't hear much about Pence these days. I hope that's a good thing.

A future Oliver Stone- or Aaron Sorkin-type is going to have to break the insurrection story up into 10 different 3-hour movies, at a minimum. 😱

Seth- herculean effort in connecting the seemingly unrelated dots into logical focus! One almost feels sorry for Alex Jones because clearly he was set up to be the fall guy by the diabolical Roger Stone and Trump's deranged minions. This whole affair has had the stench of Roger Stone on it from day one. This information needs a "Woodward & Bernstein" investigative journalist approach and not be left to covered up and or explained away. The other more recent news that needs to be looked into is how Trump is spending all that donor money he has amassed since "Stop the Steal" began. He's grifting American citizens without any accountability as to how the money is being used. It's criminal.

I’m extremely worried that this, as with many other scandals, will be swept under the rug by officials.

Hopefully Merrick Garland will pursue all leads. But it appears he first needs to clean house. trump loyalists are embedded in the DoD, DoJ, and law enforcement agencies.

The corruption runs deep.

Like the Third Reich, it's unfortunately going to take decades to bring Truth to sunlight on djt's Insurrection... While ALL of this is truly deplorably Horrible and Frightening, I appreciate your continuing efforts in connecting so many truth dots!! THANX!! 😷☮️💜

It has always seemed odd that VP Pence, apparently did not trust his security detail to the point he would not get in the car and leave. What did Pence know?

Thank you for bringing this back up. Lafayette Square wasn’t about the photo op. Trump was grooming his people for the steal. He did walk to the photo op. That gives his Jan. 6 mob reason to believe he will meet them at the Capital. Also, Lafayette was about using violence against Trump opponents, showing Trump’s supporters he is fine with violent treatment of his opponents and also that there were no consequences for that violence. Lafayette was the big three - March of Trump people, violence against opponents, photo op showing Trump at goal of March. Think flag raising at Iwo Jima. This was Trump modeling Jan. 6 for his followers.

FBI knew in advance about the plot to storm the Capitol on Jan. 06, and they quietly allowed it to happen anyways. FBI seems complicit in the "inside job".

Parler referred violent content from its platform to the FBI more than 50 times in the weeks before the Jan. 06 riot at the U.S. Capitol. This includes a Dec. 24 post recruiting an "armed force of 150,000 people to react to the congressional events of Jan. 06". This also includes a Jan. 02 post from a user saying he would be wearing body armor to the pro-Trump rally on Jan. 06. "It's no longer a protest. This is a final stand where we are drawing the red line at Capitol Hill. I trust the American people will take back the USA with force and many are ready to die to take back USA." In another post, a user made clear that armed people would be at the Capitol that day. "They may be concealed at first, but if Congress does the wrong thing, expect real chaos, because Trump needs us to cause chaos to enact the Insurrection Act."

Thanks for this. I especially appreciate your fact check on Alex Jones. It’s crazy that he seems to be one of the only honest ones in this bunch.

I hope all the people whom we KNOW are reading your pieces actually act on this. It is clear to me that a real understanding of the range and importance of the Secret Services security protocols is lacking, and that our media avoid the complex approach needed, in favour of simple click bait, memes, and easy story arcs.
