This story should lead the mainstream evening news tonite, but of course it won’t. Could even make the case that Biden should have a press conference to announce this shady deal and stipulate that NO intelligence briefings will be provided to the republican nominee during the duration of my presidency

The way the Tangerine Tyrant & his minions are being so overt about their intentions to turn America into a Dictatorship, even putting it in writing w/ their crazy Project 2025, makes me think they have some type of fix in to cheat in the election (or so they believe.) I'm worried they gave Russia & the like all that stolen voting machine data they got through bad "audits", actual theft, etc., so they can use it to somehow break into the machines on election day. I just hope Biden's administration is ready for plots like this against our voting systems & equipmen itself. MAGAts just seem way too sure of themselves for my comfort!

Holy shit. My mind is still processing all of this, but all the dots connect. I recognize the names from your Proof series and while I'm not surprised at this, I'm also "holy shit" surprised. You know how your common sense says, "Yup, it figures." while at the same time your brain says, "JFC!" and whirls into processing it all while at the same time calculating the urgent & dire need for action for the safety of our country. Does that make sense? I'll do my best in forwarding this article to key people on Threads. Hope it helps get the word out. Thanks, Seth! Sending protective wishes you & your family's way. 🙏 💜 ☮️

Yep. As one who has followed you since 2-17 and read your books, I am not surprised, When I first heard the news, my first thought was what nation was it connected to. No surprise with Russia connection. And GOP won't care, they just don't care if Russia has control over them. We have met the enemy and he is the GOP.

Seth, I'd recommend that you find a way to get this information to the E. Jean Carroll team so that they can use it on Monday to have the judge rule against the deal. This can't stand and there's a small window of opportunity to derail the bond agreement in court. Great reporting as always!

Those of us who've been closely following the war in Ukraine are very much aware of what goes on at the Council on Foreign Relations. We're familiar with all the Putinversteher like Samuel Charap, Thomas Graham, John Mearsheimer, Elbridge Colby, etc. Just watched a video of a debate between Elbridge Colby and Timothy Snyder from March 6 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGS7DpvZv1c). What is maddening is that all of them, without exception, act in bad faith. Rather than respond to the totality of what Professor Snyder says, Colby pulls out a sentence or two removed from the whole, and attacks that, and refuses to respond directly to the consequences of what Prof. Snyder says, derisively calling out the "high mindedness" of a historian who specializes in mass murder of the 20th century and speaks and/or reads 10 European languages fluently, including 6 Slavic languages (plus German, French, Spanish, and Yiddish). All of which means that his knowledge of both primary and secondary sources in languages that have not been translated into English, going back to early Christian times (including Old Church Slavonic, which he doesn't include in the 10), is vast. Ditto his knowledge of philosophy from the ancient Greeks to the present, including eastern European and African American, as well as international law. But it's the fact that he happens to be deeply moral that that places him outside of this group. Based on my own experience with them, they seem to think his moral stance is quaint and unrealistic. But there is hardly anyone in the world who understands the Kremlin and how it works better than Professor Snyder.

This news is no where else to my knowledge. At the same time I am reading this, MSNBC is asking do we know where trump got the money to get this bond? Bravo, Seth!

Thanks for the history. Events have happened so quickly we forget what has precipitated it all.

I would like to see an article that pulls from ones going back up to 3 or 4 years ago with the facts about fundamentalist leaders, the NRA, Congressmen/women, Senators, etc ad their may trips to Russia. These were written by different organizations.

If you watch old movie channels at night, for at least a year, Mike Huckabee was running ads to feed old Holocaust survivors in Russia...only $75/month.

As an aside, the Texas government has gone full fascist with primary results, what an interesting result from West Texas ultr fundamental fracking billionaire money.

Again, in awe at how fast you discover, investigate and write (with receipts- always with receipts!) these extensive reports.

Well lawyers did warn he might have to go rogue to come up with the money so I’m sure it’s all E Jean’s fault, and Leticia’s fault and the fault of all the “haters”, anyone but his own. The emperor was naked the whole time.

Given that mainstream media has accepted the narrative that Russian Collusion is debunked why would they be inclined to concern themselves with this story? A generous Russian who wants Trump to side with Russia if he wins the election. Trump has already shown signs that he does not favor Ukraine (lots of history on this point obviously) which is not an untenable position as many Americans want to deny Ukraine further aid. With 50% of America favoring Trump and a sizeable number indifferent on the Ukraine issue, I don’t see political winds shifting against Trump on this issue. I hope I’m wrong. Admittedly I’m very cynical of Trump being held accountable.
