What I found so striking was the hitleresque appeal to Jewish hatred. Targeting soros and Zuckerberg like they’re leaders of American liberalism. What a laugh. Not 1 in 10,0000 americans, much less any idiots on the right have ever read ONE word of anything soros ever wrote (they should) or have given any thought to how much Zuckerberg helped trump in 2016 with Facebook’s ability to micro-target voters.

History will show how trump didn’t so much as steal the election as target millions of voters who could be propagandized into believing that democrats were evil. Not just political rivals, but EVIL. And once the ENEMY had been identified, you must DESTROY him. Erego, all the capitalized exhortations to destroy the evil libs. As long as trump was in power, the rage was contained. But once the overlords’ power was taken away, the gloves came off and the main right wing villain was suddenly catapaulted into the spotlight. Just like in Charlottesville when the puppet master said there were good people on both sides or when he told the proud boys to stand back and stand by, we knew what he meant.

We’ve seen this play. Shakespeare wrote about it. And it’s happening here. In the fucking United States of America. But we shouldn’t be surprised. The goal was to rip us in two. And in that regard, they’ve already succeeded.

Even if we thwart the seditious takeover of American democracy, we face half a country that doesn’t believe in the promise of American democracy. And that’s not something that will be cured by the J6 committee or any prosecutions of these treasonous bastards

Many years ago, I was being influenced on Internet by anti-Soros propaganda. I didn't know Soros was Jewish, and I didn't recognize the anti-Semitic content. As I read more about Soros, I realized that I was being lied to. Soros actually believed in things I believed in, like human rights for Russians and E. Europeans. I was also fooled by the lies about the reality of climate change.

After reading on both sides on these issues, I was no longer naive and realized that I was being fooled by propaganda from Republicans and their financial sponsors. The problem for me was that I didn't realize that some Americans lie and lie and lie just like Russian politicians. I would have recognized the lies in Russia because I knew they lied, but I didn't realize Americans can tell those big lies, too. I was blind to that.

As soon as I realized Republicans and their financial sponsors were lying, I started to see what I recognize when it comes from Russia: the anti-Semitic canards like the blood libel. Blood libel is an old Medieval lie that Jews kill Christian children and use their blood to make matzo at Passover.

The so-called "pro-life" crowd is good at spreading vicious updated blood libels like "Planned Parenthood sells baby body parts." I saw how the so-called "pro-life" crowd had to lie and lie. They want votes. They don't care about the issue of abortion. It was just a stalking horse to get power.

I am a fairly-intelligent, retired person with a degree in Soviet Studies. I am not an anti-Semite, but I fell for the anti-Semitic type lies until I realized what was the Americanized version of the old blood libel. Then, in an instant, I could see this was just like Russia and NAZI Germany. I know ALL about that stuff from my family and my education, but I didn't see it in America. Unfortunately, most Trumpers probably don't have the education I had that would help them recognize and overcome their delusions.

I recognize the names of lawyers, organizations, and political operatives discussed on Proof. I already knew about these people from the so-called "pro-life" issue, and they are now showing their true colors: they are part of the insurrection. They didn't care about the issue of abortion. It was just a stalking horse for power and votes.

That Phill Kline/Thomas More legal Organization gang have infiltrated the Catholics. They defend David Daleiden who spread the blood libel that "Planned Parenthood sells baby body parts."

I was at a Catholic teacher Diocese event when a priest named Father William Marx Aitcheson told us he was going to vote for Trump. He did NOT say we should, but that was what he wanted us to consider. He said it was because of the abortion issue. He knows nothing about the reality of women and doesn't care to know. "Father" Bill really is just an Incel who persecutes women.

It turned out that years ago, before he was a priest, "Father" had been arrested for being a KKK bomb maker who sent death threats to Coretta Scott King, the mother of four children. Later, as a "Father," Aitcheson was arrested for being very aggressive at abortion clinics, too. According to "Father's" former student who became a reporter, he also taught history to home-schoolers and "preached" about his hero Robert E. Lee and the importance of states' rights. Until recently, "Father" organized anti-abortion demonstrations with teens and college kids. He has been exposed. Just google William Marx Aitcheson. He was a terrorist who celebrated a traitor.

All of this has really damaged my Christian faith. The Catholic Church is really out of its lane. They should notice that the Internet publication of the Moscow Patriarchate published Daleiden's dishonest and vicious blood libel in English within a hours of his big expose about "Planned Parenthood selling baby body parts." In my opinion, that was no accident. The fix was in.

The Russian Orthodox Church is a mouthpiece for Kremlin propaganda, and and its priests are sometimes operatives for Russian intelligence. Years ago, the leaders went abroad and spread so-called "peacemaking" (Soviet foreign policy). Now they help Americans spread so-called pro-life propaganda.

When I tried to explain the abortion issue was really about getting votes, a young priest's first words were "You better not have had an abortion!" I have not had an abortion, but attacking a mature woman was all this so-called "Father" could do. I was just trying to explain that this issue has been weaponized. I was old enough to be this priest's mother, but "Father" showed no respect for a woman and the mother of several children.

In 1800, the average American woman had about 7 live births---half had more. By 1900, the average woman had 3.5 live births. Along with illegal primitive barrier methods and poisons, abortion WAS birth control for women. Their doctor/midwife delivered their babies and performed their abortions. They didn't want 7 or 12 children. Margaret Sanger was for birth control, and making good birth control available is what has prevented millions of abortions, but some abortions will also be necessary for medical reasons or for a woman's choice.

Catholic organizations may soon see vicious attacks from angry pro-choice people as well as from right-wing provocateurs who don't care about abortion. I am totally against terrorism, but Catholic priests and organizations need to stop collaborating with the far-right terrorists who just want a dictatorship. They are endangering their own schools, children, and hospitals. They may be attacked by Trumpist terrorists who really do have bombs and will relish making the situation worse. As Trump says, "Let's see what happens next." I worry that the Church will become a target of both Trumpist terrorists and furious pro-choice terrorists.

These divisions about abortion, climate change, racism, and guns are just about money, seizing power, and ruining our country and people. The Republicans, Catholics/Evangelicals, the racists, and the Russians are all contributing to this disaster. It is nothing to do with Christianity or freedom. It's about killing us.

That's why they attack science and COVID vaccines, too. So-called pro-life propagandists like Lila Rose claim that fetal cells are in the vaccines. Fetal cell lines from decades ago were used to develop polio vaccines too, but are not in the vaccine. The VATICAN says to get childhood vaccines and the COVID vaccine despite the "old sin" of using fetal cells. Why do people who are pro-life want to kill us with a disease? Ask a Russian bot, but don't expect the truth. Even the Pope says to get the COVID vaccine.

I was there when "Father" William Marx Aitcheson, formerly a KKK bomb-maker who sent death threats to Coretta Scott King and wanted to poison the DC water (I guess to kill blacks), told us he was going to vote for Trump. Church leaders knew some of this man's history. He was a KKK bomb-maker and should NEVER have been allowed to take young people to demonstrations. His fingerprints should have flagged him to the FBI, if priests get fingerprinted like teachers do.

If the so-called "Fathers" cared about women and families, they would pay clinics to give poor Catholics gynecological care and birth control. After all, middle class Catholic women have overwhelmingly used birth control. Advocating the use of modern birth control and paying for it would prevent thousands of abortions. I think the historic reason that the Catholic Church did not permit priests to be married was that it would have been very expensive to support large families, but I am just speculating. Maybe Catholics in the pew were supposed to make more Catholics so the Church would have more money.

I suggest that money be used to uplift poor Catholic women with birth control instead of betraying our democracy. If women have birth control and an education, they will probably support a Church that has done many good things along with the evil that has happened in the past and is happening now. It is up to the woman's conscience whether she choses an abortion or not. It is not up to Trumpist insurrectionists in the Church, the Congress, or the Court.

In Catholic doctrine, abortion is no different than birth control--*is* birth control. They are both wrong, in their view, because they frustrate God's Will that there be maximum numbers of people. It is not a matter of any "right to life."

White middle-class Catholics pretty much ignore what the Church says about birth control. They have cars, doctors, birth control, credit cards, money, and health insurance. They have 2-3 kids, so they are using birth control. Priests harp all the time on abortion, not so much on birth control. The extremists on Internet are always claiming birth control causes abortions, but I don't hear priests harping on that.

So they need to understand that to their church there is no difference between abortion and birth control.

My favorite when it comes to Soros is their attempt to paint him as a Nazi--not unlike what Putin's trying to do to Zelensky now. That despite the fact that Soros was the same age as Ann Frank.

Kremlin propagandists often call Americans they don't like communists because they know Americans don't like communism. Russia now is fascist. That trend has been around for decades. For example, Russian NAZIS organized under the cover of sport clubs in the 1980s and demonstrated in NAZI uniforms on Hitler's birthday. It freaked out people on the street, and the KGB did nothing to stop them. That's something to think about.

I think the most rabid anti-sorosists of the recent past were Russian trolls. I was never convinced most Americans really knew who he was. (I queried a few). I've read one of his books, The Open Society, and thought it pretty good, although now I only recall a couple of specifics. His Open Society Fund supported good causes and people in Central Europe, but was resented by lots of Russian Soviets.

Soros studied with philosopher Karl Popper at the London School of Economics. Popper wrote a book "The Open Society and its Enemies" in 1945. For both Popper and Soros, an open society means liberal democracy as opposed to closed, authoritarian societies of either the right or the left. Soros has opposed authoritrians at both ends, and he has put billions of his own money where his mouth is.. It's a perversion to interprete this "open" as no borders. It means freedom of thought and speech. In line with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, also 1945, Popper supports political asylum.

Thanks for such an informative reply. I didn't know about the Popper connection. I understand what Soros means by open, but it hadn't occurred to me that some might think of open borders.

ISL should be a headline everywhere, it does need to be shouted from every roof top over and over. Those that don't believe it will happen must wake up to the reality that it can easily happen. I was living in an authoritarian 3rd world country where the leader took full control of all levels of government.

"Ortega took "full control of all four branches of government, state institutions, the military, and police", and in the process dismantled "Nicaragua’s institutional democracy"."

Previously he had banned all abortions. He also has imprisoned or killed any opposition. He has dismantled any "free press" that existed. In November 2021 my husband and I flew to Miami to get vaccinated. Our trip was for 3 days. What ensued after was a dystopian nightmare. Long story short, we had left with just a carry on each, when we attempted to return we got refused over and over to board the plane. At first we thought it was due to covid procedures. The end result was they refused us entry because four years earlier I had posted a story about how Ortega had acquired all his properties. I also wrote a Nicaraguan newsletter for expats for about a year and that was 99.9% positive at all times. I was deemed a journalist and thus refused entry.

In Nicaragua it's against the law to fly the National Flag without his FSLN party flag. It reminds me very much of how MAGA's have taken over the USA National Flag.

Given the importance of Moore v. Harper, and its impact on ISL, there needs to be constant, vocal, maximum pressure on Justice Clarence Thomas to recuse himself from this ruling. His wife, Ginni Thomas, involvement with ISL matters should be sufficient cause.

The pundits all seem to say "boo hoo hoo" a Supreme Court justice isn't compelled to recuse himself, and thus we have no recourse. I say, make a demand for Thomas's recusal be so public, so high pressured that Thomas is damned if he doesn't. I'd make Ginni Thomas's actions be very public so Clarence can't hide behind the "I don't know what my wife does" gambit.

And I'd put maximum pressure on Chief Justice Roberts to advise Thomas to recuse.

Even if the Supreme Court rules in favor of ISL, then let there be a stain on the ruling for ever after.

Dave LaRock, (R) VA was elected to a bright red district that is also home to the Christian Nationalist Cornerstone Chapel (Leesburg), and Patrick Henry College (Purcellville). LaRock's churchmate, Dave Kubal runs a little known but growing online "church" called Intercessors For America (IFA) that published a piece on Dec 29 2020 citing the ISL plan. Kubal was at the Capitol on Jan 6 but claims he didn't enter. The political work of Kubal and others involved in Seven Mountains (7M) New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) theology help cement the stranglehold legislators have on their districts across the country. IFA promoted the Nov 14 Oath Keepers rally in Purcellville, VA reported in the Just Security timeline (https://www.justsecurity.org/74622/stopthesteal-timeline-of-social-media-and-extremist-activities-leading-to-1-6-insurrection/).

You can find IFA's Dec 29 piece here (https://ifapray.org/blog/networks-to-combat-evil-and-establish-gods-kingdom/).

Please note the author's bio (Nancy Huff) at the end of the piece. Nancy is an "educator" who undoubtedly has ties to former secretary of education Betsy DeVos. This unlawful grass roots church-based political organizing has been and continues to be integral to the insurrection and the political power of legislators and lower level elected officials across the nation.

I've been saying for a while now that this ISL case coming before the SC is worse than anything that is happening in America atm. I've read and listened to different opinions about it and have had a sick feeling about this since I've learned more. You summed it all up so well and have now brought out the true plot of what I think the GOP, TFG and all his lackies, have been trying to accomplish all along. Interesting news about the zoom call. I sure hope that's being investigated! I am thankful that it didn't occur in 2021 and we have a fight to win to impeach Thomas and prosecute his evil wife before 2023 gets here. I hope DOJ knows about all of this. Surely to goodness they do. It is our only hope to try to stop this or at least I hope it is. If this isn't handled before it goes to SC in 2023, America is doomed. And we need to get all of these law breaking, co-conspirators out of office this November. Then maybe we can get more SC nominees elected and settle this crazy and horrifying bs before it is decided by the SC. I'm sick to death of all these power grabbing, money crazy, idiots wanting to take over America. We the People need to stand up strong and get all of these people in jail, out of office etc. No wonder you aren't sleeping. Thanks Seth for all you do! I’ve become educated on the Moore v Harper case in recent weeks and the absolute terrifying consequences it will have on our country. SCOTUS has already turned our country upside down with the gravity of the majority of their opinions this year. I have zero faith they will do what’s in the best interest of our country.

In your conclusion you write “I’m put in mind, here, of how Gloria Lee Snover closed her interview with “BKP”—as it sealed in my mind that one of two things must collapse over the next decade: the United States of America or the Republican Party. The two cannot both survive into the 2030s.“ and this thought along with the recent WAPO article entitled “‘They are preparing for war’: An expert on civil wars discusses where political extremists are taking this country” will ensure I don’t sleep well tonight.

As always, I appreciate the deep intrinsic reporting you do in Proof. You take us to levels and places not spoken about in other media and for that I’m grateful - the better our understanding of everything that took place the better our chance to fight against it.

I’ll close by saying I don’t hate much, but I hate what has been done and is being done to our country all for the sake of power.

Thank you.

Great article! One of the best bits:

“This suggests that the primary reason Team Trump would have needed to speak to “Stop the Steal leaders” and party activists like Snover on January 2 was not to recruit them to a letter-writing campaign—as non-legislators, they could not possibly hope to influence Mike Pence—but rather to ensure that they understood that the Capitol needed to be physically overrun on January 6 in order for the joint session to be delayed.”

The ISL doctrine is the scariest. Rick Hasen has formed a bipartisan group of legal experts to address this ahead of the SCOTUS case coming up. We need to nip this in the bud—pronto!

What a diabolically sinister plan. Yet, frustratingly, ingenious. They knew they had duped the minions for years already. Surely, they could convince them the election was stolen. And surely they had the capability to get violent, because they are who they are.

I’m also wondering how Pence may have gone about alerting Congress if he wanted to? Other than a press conference spilling the beans, how could he have sounded the alarm and to whom? Everything and everyone was compromised.

We really came close this time. How do we warn our average American that isn’t really paying attention? I know the hardcore morons think it’s no big deal…some even welcome ISL, not really understanding what it means.
