If my Legal Brain, not enriched by years of attaining a JD, is nearly exploding over the "arguments" and circular logic the "Defense" is using, I can only imagine the deep pain You must be experiencing!!

Now he is blaming the delay on the parties that supported the impeachment, but not that the GOP delayed it? These things need to be aired out and stated as they happened. He is lying now

Seth, if GOP in bad faith ignore the facts and vote to acquit, can Trump be criminally prosecuted in Federal or state courts? Here's a DOJ opinion from 2000 on another opinion from 1973: https://www.justice.gov/file/19386/download
