Yes, Trump's permit for stage at Capitol shows *INTENTION* of completing the coup d'êtat. Imagine the MAGA crowd breaching the House and Senate, then killing VP Pence, Speaker Pelosi, and most of the Dems in Congress. Well now Trump declares emergency martial law (advised by Flynn, Powell, Lindell) and drives to the White House to issue a "comforting" message to the nation as he promises to find the responsible ANTIFA BLM terrorists... Quick clarification...any time I spoke of the "front" or "back" of the Capitol in interviews, podcasts, etc., I have sometimes gotten them confused. The STS permitted stage was set up on the side of the Capitol where you could see the Supreme Court, not the reflecting pool. Technically, that's the front of the Capitol I think, but may have referred to it as the back. Anyway, just wanted to clarify. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.
Seth - I heard on NPR someone talking about how they don't expect enough GOP votes to convict. I know the focus now is getting the facts, but can you talk about the vote side? Just hoping you can lift our spirits a little that the US has a moral compass and/or brain...
One of the greatest outrages is that, Senators who certainly contributed to the BIG LIE, and whipping up the crowd, at the same very least...and likely knew about the extreme likelihood that the attack was coming...Cruz,Hawley, and Graham, who we know was involved in attempted election tampering..maybe more that knew...are sitting as jurors...with a likely vote to aquit.
