Unraveling contacts between the White House and three Stop the Steal coordinators is the key to the House managers' case. But it's not clear if anyone is looking into it.
The stage for Stop The Steal was set up on the northeast corner of the Capitol - it was a Roger Stone affiliated event and Ali Alexander was a speaker there. It started in the morning. The website was something like wildprotest.org which is now a 404 error. The people who attended that event did not see the Trump speech at all, and they were iirc the first group to breach the line of police around the building. They do it all of a sudden, too, some of that footage was in the impeachment hearings, when a cop gets completely knocked over by a bike rack and one of the protestors lifts him up.
Anyway I just want to point out the Stop The Steal event was an ongoing thing that day and it would be sort of normal for Jones to head over there. But it REALLY makes no sense for Trump to go there because.... how? Look at a map and there's no way to get a motorcade in without driving directly through the crowd headed towards the capitol. How would you even do that, logistically speaking? I don't see it.
MY assumption was that there was a three-pronged attack strategy. At around the same time the first angry mobs from Trump's speech headed East towards the East side of the capitol, bombs were called in at the DNC to the South and SouthEast of the Capitol, and almost the moment congress began proceedings the Stop The Steal crowd on the NorthEast corner (where police numbers were weakest according to a news report I read) bum rushed the cops and started trying to breach the building.
Whether this was a coherent battle plan - I don't think so because given what we know about the placement of the bombs it's actually surprising they were not called in much earlier than that - but the bombs themselves look almost comically bomb-like, one of them uses an egg timer.. and they were placed in the open. I don't know.
What you're saying about Jones claiming Trump would be there might be what's happening in these videos, or he might be just trying to bring them over there to the infowars affiliated event, by being alex jones and lying and saying trump will be there.
In any case WOW Alex really came a long way didn't he? THAT guy? Twenty years ago I would not have thought that ALEX JONES might attempt to overthrow the government on behalf of the RNC. Peaks and troughs, that guy, simultaneous highs and lows.
Seth-- I have screenshots and/or archived Tweets from Ali which dovetail with UR reporting. He used his Twitter to direct the crowd & told them in one to move to the other side of the Capitol under "orders from POTUS"
I have another that proves he had at least one high level conference call w/ Trump folks that shows a number from Dept of Homeland Security, too
Finally, did you know Chris Miller & Kash Patel were in the Oval w/ Trump the evening of January 5th? Makes me wonder if they were w/ Trump when & if he called into the Jan 5th war council meeting
